About me:
I’m Shaun Earhart, a photographer based in Dallas, Texas. Photography, for me, began as a way to slow things down — a way to look longer. What started in 2013 with a Nikon D3100 has evolved into a continuing study of light, time, and the quiet order that connects motion, architecture, and nature.
My work explores how design and environment shape perception — the geometry of a skyline, the rhythm of a racetrack, the stillness of a single frame of film. I’m drawn to moments that sit between movement and silence, where the familiar becomes abstract and the mechanical feels alive.
I alternate between digital and film — a Canon EOS R and Fuji X100 when I’m chasing precision and immediacy, and older cameras like the Canon AE-1 and Rolleiflex 3.5 when I want to slow down. Each format brings a different way of seeing: digital captures motion in its sharpest instant, while film reveals the imperfections that make moments feel real. Together they define how I approach photography — balanced between control and curiosity.
Through ongoing projects, I aim to document presence — not simply what things look like, but the atmosphere of being there.
